Brandon Neal

Former Principal in the Treasury Markets Directorate at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. COO and CFO in digital asset infrastructure. Member of the Bretton Woods Committee.

Full bio

Brandon's career runs from equity capital markets and Treasury markets in Tokyo and New York to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he was a Principal in the Treasury Markets Directorate. He obtained a federal security clearance during his time at the Fed. He has since served as COO and CFO of a decentralized finance borrowing and lending protocol, and as COO of a digital asset infrastructure company, where he led AI enablement.

He is a board director of startups in compliance and AI, a member of the Bretton Woods Committee and its Future of Finance Group, and a member of the CFA Societies of New York and Los Angeles and of the American Solar Energy Society.

He invests in startup ventures and distributed energy resources, and his approach draws on the Buffett-Munger emphasis on fundamentals and first principles. He lives in New York with his wife and dog.

Retired U.S. Coast Guard commander and naval aviator. Founder and operator of two direct-to-consumer life sciences businesses.

During twenty years in the U.S. Coast Guard, Bill held senior operations and strategy roles, including work on operations and human-capital issues for a 40,000-person force. A naval aviator, he held Chief Pilot and Chief of Operations roles, worked alongside the Deputy Commandant for Operations, and served as Deputy Chief of Strategy. He obtained a national security clearance during his time at the Department of Homeland Security.

A business founder and venture investor, he founded and operates two direct-to-consumer life sciences businesses and invests in early-stage companies. A student of John Boyd's OODA loop, he puts reconnaissance, risk and cost assessment ahead of execution.

He has written about micro-grids and the global energy transition. He lives in the San Diego area with his son.

Security leader across decentralized finance and enterprise technology.

Full bio

Erik has more than a decade in security across decentralized finance and enterprise technology: security architecture, governance, assurance preparation, adversarial testing and the allocation of security resources. He has led security programs at venture-backed technology companies, rebuilt the security function of a digital assets business, guided SOC 2 and ISO 27001 programs, and served as a GDPR Data Protection Officer.

His experience includes protocol architecture, audit strategy, bug-bounty programs and penetration testing. At a global enterprise technology company he filed four U.S. patents. A former Linux kernel developer, he speaks at security conferences and founded the DEF CON group DC11331.

He lives in Paris and runs his family's coffee estate in El Salvador.
